History

John-Derek Owen is a Usui and Karuna® Reiki Master / Teacher, and a certified Massage Therapist. He is fully insured, and offers a confidential service. Born in Guyana, www.guyana-tourism.com he has lived and worked in America and Africa, and has now made his home with his family in Goodwick, Pembrokeshire.

His journey has lead him from a long term career with the United Nations in East and Southern Africa, to becoming a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master. Along this path, he took an intensive Massage Therapy course in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, which also provided him with the certification to practice Reflexology. While living in Georgia, he met his Usui Reiki Master, and over the course of fifteen months, took the three Reiki Attunemnents required to become an Usui Reiki Master / Teacher. Eighteen months later he completed the Karuna® Reiki Master / Teacher course on Holy Island off the West coast of Scotland.
